A mutual partnership established from day one

Atran Pharma began collaborating with PharmAdvice around 2019, shortly after the company was founded. A trusting relationship was quickly established based on prior professional experience and mutual regulatory understanding.

“We’ve worked with PharmAdvice for years in a mutual partnership: We help them in Sweden, and they help us in Denmark,” says senior RA consultant and co-founder Tobias Törngren.

Tobias had worked with PharmAdvice in other companies before founding Atran with David Ellingsen and was already familiar with their way of working. When it became time for Atran to team up with a reliable partner in Denmark with strong regulatory expertise, it wasn’t a hard choice.

“PharmAdvice are well-known in the field as regulatory experts, and I had worked with them before. Based on that positive experience, we reached out to them,” he says.

“We felt confident in our choice of service provider because we knew them from before,” CEO and co-founder David Ellingsen explains.

High-quality support limits regulatory friction

According to Atran, the defining characteristic of the collaboration is consistent quality, as evidenced by the accuracy of PharmAdvice’s regulatory translations.

“The team at PharmAdvice focus on delivering high quality. When we use them for translations, we rarely get any comments from the authorities, which is unusual,” Tobias Törngren says.

“Yes. They are very fast and easy to work with, and their translations are spot on because they know exactly what the authorities require,” David elaborates.

The precision minimizes back-and-forth with authorities and supports a smoother regulatory process.

Thorough, precise and transparent communication

Despite the many similarities between the Danish and Swedish markets, some notable differences remain, such as the requirements for educational materials. For Atran, the team at PharmAdvice have been a great help in understanding the Danish practice, not least thanks to the transparency and clarity of their communication.

“PharmAdvice are very honest and thorough in their answers. If they don’t know, they’ll say so and refer us to someone who can help,” David Ellingsen says.

Atran has experience working with consultants in multiple markets. What stands out in the relationship with PharmAdvice is the professional alignment. A shared mindset reduces the need for extensive explanations and enables efficient communication.

“The PharmAdvice team work very similarly to how we do,” Tobias Törngren says, and David agrees:

“They quickly understand what we need because we speak the same professional language. We ask very specific questions, and they give very specific answers.”

The long-standing partnership with PharmAdvice has never given Atran any reason to explore alternatives:

“We get exactly what we expect, and we have recommended PharmAdvice’s services to other clients who needed support in Denmark,” Tobias and David both agree.
